Hello Friends and Fellow Democrats:

An enthusiastic crowd came to our meeting of the ADC this past Saturday, April 13. And what an engaging and productive meeting we had!  At the top of the agenda was an update on candidates for this year's election and development of our platform.  There are numerous issues at the County and local level that affect our community.  A number of great ideas were discussed, and there were a good number of takeaways too.  More details to come shortly, but in the interim, see our recent FaceBook post on Ancram's revitalization plan for what other communities are doing.

Because of people like you and those that came to the meeting, we continue to make significant progress on identifying potential candidates for the election (we have a number of possible candidates, but welcome other suggestions), organizing our communications, drafting a party platform, and quantifying our fundraising needs.

This is a big year; The Town Supervisor and two Town Board members are up for election. We can win this election as we did with the Town Judge last year. So mark your calendars for Saturday June 1 at 1:30 in the afternoon at the Town Hall for our next meeting - get involved, and tell your friends.

By the way - Don’t forget to send to us, at AusterlitzDemocraticCommittee@gmail.com, the email addresses of friends who want to join our distribution list.

Finally, we want to be able to fund our big campaign this year. Please send a donation to Austerlitz Democrats, PO Box 266, Spencertown, NY 12165. The donations are not tax deductible, but are very much appreciated.
